Lions undefeated in tournament victory 18/01/09
The Lions have successfully defended their title at the Horfield Beginner's Tournament, held at Bristol today. With a team mainly comprising of players who have been playing less than 18 months, this is fantastic result for the players involved, and shows that Lions korfball is on the up! Gloucester Lions are proud to announce a partnership with the
University of Gloucestershire to introduce korfball to staff and
students. An Introduction to Korfball will take place 6.30pm - 8pm on
Tuesday evenings at the Hardwick Campus Sports Hall in Cheltenham,
beginning on the 13th January 2009. Lions players and coaches will be
on hand to provide a fun and friendly atmosphere and introduce people
to the world's only mixed sex team sport.
Come along and get in the mixed zone!
Trio in SWKA Training Squad
Three Gloucester Lions players have been
selected as part of a 24-player South West Korfball Association (SWKA)
Training Squad for the 2008-09 season. Stu Hall, Lois Haddock and Heather Geddes have been
selected alongside representatives from all the SWKA clubs. The
training squad will form the basis for selection to represent the South
